Education and experience:

  • More than twelve years working experience in press infography, illustration,
    design and multimedia.

A little about the developer:

I began working as an infograph in written press, then took 3D infography on using Infini-D at first , later 3D Studio and Lightwave mainly. Finally, I specialized in Macromedia Director and Java.

Q and A section

1.What is Netludic?
I couldn't think of a more suitable name ;o) In the beginning my site name was jrnovoa.com but due to problems with the host I lost the possibility of getting the domain back for a year so I created a new one with this name.In Netludic I've included my work as a freelencer/elancer and as a professional in general, and the pages are dedicated to ludic and and educational multimedia contents.

I consider netludic the best way to share and show my work; I feel like a shopkeeper who manufactures toys, so netludic is my shopwindow where I set every new device I make, although not everything is for sale. Some are only there because I feel like having them so.

2.When were a kid what did you want to do as a grownup?
Guess I wanted to be something different everyday.I think I was too busy being a child as to think too much about what I'd want to be as a grownup. Anyway, my favourite toys were always a pencil and a sheet of paper to make drawings and cutouts which I tried to animate later. I don't know if that could be an indicative sign of what I'm doing at present.

3. What are your current goals (Interactive and personal)?
Living the moment ,basically. I don't usually think about long term plans. I maily try to organize projects I've been doing for years and left behind while I'm also making new things. I'm aiming at organizing my work rather than reaching long term objectives. As for my next step I want to make a little series of 3D games which I have already sketched.

4. What projects are you working on now?
I'm developing 3D and multiuser games as these are the aspects I 'm mainly interested in at present. Other projects I'm busy about deal with illustration, 3D infography and Director and Java programming either as single orders or temporary engaged to any firm.

Almost everything I show in netludic is made in my free time.At present I'm trying to recover and adapt some educational material which were part of some educational projects I took part in and had left behind because of lack
of time to develop them. "Educational market" has perhaps been the most satisfactory one for me so I've forced myself to look back and update them.

5. What would you like to work on?

I'm doing exactly what I want to. My favourite work areas are 3D infography , educational multimedia and video games developments. I've always strived to do what I like to and little by little I'm managing to achieve it.

6. How do you get your inspiration?

Mainly being outdoors. While I'm indoors in front of a computer I don't get any ideas. Watching the sea is as valuable for me as some good wind for a kite. Perhaps , the sea is what inspires me most as it makes me feel relaxed and it gives me the horizon I need.

7. What do you see for the possible future of Macromedia Director?
An improved collision engine, full screen support and if I could do something about it, a more universal player for Linux, Windows MacOs, and even videogames consoles and Pocket PC from the same programme ( as its price is rather high so that should be included). I also think Lingo should be a little updates to get it nearer to standard languages way of working, with operators overload...)

8.. What improvements would you like in Director?
I think a more open player to be able to create executables for Windows, Linux and Mac (and even for Pocket PC). I think its player has an outstanding task in that sense .

12. What do you do for fun?

That is something which has been changing with the times. I basically enjoy outdoor activities such as walking in the country with my dog, riding my bike, etc.

Last note:
Lots of thanks and greetings for everybody.

Thank you very much for sharing your info with the Director Community!
